• Former state official faces another probe A second state agency is investigating
  whether former Human Services Commissioner James Davy broke the law when he attempted
  to solicit child welfare-related consulting work days before he resigned in January Star-Ledger 

NJ Environment

• Pallone to oppose offshore gas terminal Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-N.J., will oppose
  plans to build an artificial island and liquid natural gas terminal 19 miles east of Sea Bright,
  including it in a list of industrial uses he would ban by legislation AP Press
• BPU to set renewable energy goal The Board of Public Utilities is to vote today on
  regulations designed to reduce pollution and make New Jersey more energy independent
  by increasing renewable energy Inquirer

• Candidates sued over contribution limits A lawsuit is filed against the six men who
  say they want to be Philadelphia's next mayor. Or who say they are at least thinking about
  it and have raised money to help them think about it. Or who have done most everything but

• Statewide drought watch declared The DEP declares a drought watch for all 67 counties
  and asked people to reduce water usage by 5 percent AP

• Deer-hunt samples show no CWD Chronic wasting disease is not detected in any samples
  taken from hunter-killed deer during the state's 2005 hunting season, according to Dr. Walt Cottrell,
  PA Game Commission veterinarian PA-PGW
