A noxious odor sent
Paulsboro High School students fleeing from their classrooms last year. A year
earlier, a misty oil cloud
settled on hundreds of cars and properties in the Paulsboro and Greenwich
Township area. These were just two of a dozen violations cited by the state
Department of Environmental Protection between 2005 and 2007 at the Valero
Refining Co. in
Greenwich. All were resolved yesterday in a $1.8 million settlement
