• DEP list sparks outcry Two environmental groups are outraged after reviewing a list of
  properties the state dropped from a public list of contaminated sites, saying it contains
  hundreds of landfills and industrial sites that have never been fully cleaned up. DEP says
  the groups are distorting the facts because, although the sites were removed from a
  published list, they remained on the department’s database of contaminated sites and are

  Control Authority’s treatment plant lagoon will be removed to a licensed out-of-state facility,
