  • PPL nuke plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued two radioactivity
    alerts this week regarding PPL Corp.’s Susquehanna nuclear plant in Salem Twp.
    On Tuesday, the NRC released the cause of radioactivity detected above regulatory
    limits in a shipment to the plant last month. On Wednesday, the agency announced
    a required monitoring system had been left off unintentionally at the plant while
    irradiated fuels were moved
