• Governor again addresses Legislature but budget impasse remains unbroken
  This morning, in his second address to a joint session of the state Senate and Assembly
  in two days, Governor Corzine called the shutdown of state services “deplorable” but said his
  hands were tied.  Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts indicated his house’s budget committee
  could meet today but provided no specific timetable. Casinos and parks were shut down this

PA Environment

• DEP aiding flood victims with oil tanks The state is offering free pumping and removal services
  for flooded or damaged home heating oil tanks for residents in areas affected by flooding. In addition,
  DEP will remove drums, tanks, cylinders or pressure vessels that wash onto private property PA-DEP
