• Five western PA universities pledge to cut harmful emissions More than 280 universities
  and colleges, including five western PA campuses, announced plans to cut harmful greenhouse
  gas emissions by using energy efficient equipment and erecting "green" buildings Associated Press
   

• PA's first Nile-positive mosquito of  ’07 State officials report that the first mosquito sample
  of the 2007 season to have tested positive for the West Nile Virus has been found in Blair County Gantdaily.com

• Lawmakers eye $700M for Convention Center Gov. Rendell wants lawmakers to clear the way by the end of June for state spending to expand the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, which expects to hold its first big show in early 2010 Tribune Review
