  cost of the public service their developments require, such as new schools and public

• NJ fights to open up the beaches It's been called the "Berlin Wall of the Shore,"
  and unless you are a card-carrying member of one of the nine private beach clubs in
  Sea Bright - forking over as much as $12,000 a year to sit on the sand - you can almost
  forget going to the beach in this Monmouth County town Inquirer  

PA Politics 

• Register to vote by cell phone Would-be voters with cell phones can now start
  the process of registering by sending a text message, thanks to a program the PA
  League of Young Voters Education Fund unveiled last week Post-Gazette

• Rt. 65 lane to north reopens after slide The state Department of Transportation
  reopens one northbound lane on Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) in Kilbuck, where a
  massive landslide had closed the highway for nearly two weeks Post-Gazette
   

• Mine-fire analysis delayed The release of a long-overdue report on a two-year-old
  underground mine fire has been delayed by discussions about who will pay for
